 The Coller Institute of Private Equity hosted its seventh annual Private Equity Findings Symposium on 2 and 3 June 2014 in London.

The Symposium is the Coller Institute of Private Equity’s annual flagship event. It is a unique two-day conference, bringing together major industry representatives and academic thought leaders from around the world to discuss new research findings and current concerns regarding the Private Equity subject matter.

This year's event was inaugurated by Professor Eli Talmor, Founder and former Chairman of the Coller Institute at London Business School. This year's keynote speakers were Professor Steven N Kaplan, Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance, The University of Chicago Booth Business School, Johannes P Huth, Partner and Head of Europe, KKR, Michael Drexler, Senior Head of Investors Industries, World Economic Forum and Michael G Jacobides (Keynote Polling Slides attached below), Sir Donald Gordon Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at London Business School.

On day 2  academics from major research institutes from around the world presented and discuss new research papers. On this day the audience had the unique opportunity to hear of new research findings and to share their views and questions regarding those findings. This year the second day of our programme featured leading academics from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Columbia Business School, New York University Stern School of Business, Said Business School, University of California, David Graduate School of Management.
